President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree on additional measures to organize the efficient management of state finances, SİA reports.
By the decree, the “Digital Public Finance” information system is being established to ensure the efficient management of areas related to the activities of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including the state budget, taxes, customs, state duties, dividends and other budget revenues from state-owned legal entities and public legal entities established on behalf of the state, as well as audit, accounting (including accounting of state financial and non-financial assets), public financial control, state treasury, public debt, and financial liabilities.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed, based on proposals from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to take the necessary measures within three months to ensure the electronic exchange of financial documents of state bodies (institutions), state-owned legal entities receiving funds from the state budget, public legal entities established on behalf of the state, and other organizations, and to address other issues arising from this decree.
