Poland has imposed temporary restrictions on air traffic along its eastern borders with Belarus and Ukraine, citing national security concerns, SİA reports, citing foreign media.
“To ensure national security, air traffic in the eastern region of Poland will be restricted within a designated zone from September 10 to December 9,” the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces said on its official X page.
The announcement follows Poland’s interception of several drones that repeatedly violated its airspace during attacks on targets in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that military targets in Ukraine were under intensive strikes but clarified that no facilities in Poland were targeted in the attacks.
