Co-chairs plan to organize a meeting of Presidents before the end of the year

The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs plan to organize a meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan before the end of the year, SIA reports quoting the Armenian media that the US co-chair of the OSCE MG James Warlick stated Monday, in Yerevan, Armenia.

According to him, organizing a high-level talk will be one of the points to be discussed during the co-chairs’ current visit to Yerevan and the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku.

Warlick stressed that since a constitutional referendum will be conducted in Armenia on December 6 and based on the schedules of the presidents, this meeting can be held after the referendum, but before the year’s end. But until then, as per the US co-chair, the negotiation process needs to be intensified at a lower level than the presidents, and this could be at the level of either a committee or a working group.
