Chairwoman of the Russian Council of Federation Valentina Matvienko, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, visited the memorial of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor.
Matvienko laid a wreath at the graves. The guest also visited the graves of famous Azerbaijani composer Muslum Magaomayev and his grandson, people’s artist of the USSR Muslum Mogamayev in the Alley of Honor. Then she visited the Alley of Martyrs and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame Monument. First deputy speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafet Asgarov and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloghlu accompanied Valentina Matvienko during the visit.
