Turkey and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries-vice-speaker

'Turkey and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries, we have very good relations.

No one must doubt it,' first vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafat Asgarov said while expressing Azerbaijan’s position in Israel-Turkey relations.

He said it is difficult to establish relations, but easy to break off them.

'Of course, it is regretful that such an incident happened between Turkey and Israel. We do not support it. The happenings should not have reached this level. But of course, we understand the position of Turkey.

We also understand if ten citizens of a state are killed on board the ship, this is a great injustice with respect to Turkey. In this regard we support Turkey. But I consider that one must respect Azerbaijan’s relations with other states, because Azerbaijan is a young and independent state,' he said.

Ziyafat Asgarov expressed his confidence that Turkey-Israel relations will be normalized.
