Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizadeh met with a delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan Imre Laslotsky within the framework of the 21st International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference Bakutel 2015.
During the meeting Elmir Velizadeh noted the existing opportunities for further development of cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, speaking about the interest of Hungarian companies in the Azerbaijani market, Ambassador Imre Laslotsky introduced the companies represented in the delegation. The representatives of companies National Toll Payment Services PLC, and Persecutor Ltd. provided extensive and detailed information about the activities of their companies. They highlighted the solutions for switching from toll road systems and existing potential for data processing centers.
Elmir Velizadeh said certain steps have been taken in this direction in Azerbaijan. Speaking on the creation of the first data center in the region in accordance with the technical requirements of Uptime Institute’s level TIER III, the Deputy Minister said the center and technical staff is ready for operation, it is expedient to cooperate with Hungarian companies in the center’s future activities.
