As a result of an incident, 19-year-old serviceman in Armenia military unit Gevorg Kotinyan died in the Azerbaijan occupied territory.
Kotinyan was from Vanadzor, and has served in the army for only 9 months. The certificate of death of the soldier evidences that the soldier had been severely beaten up.
Soldier’s uncle, Boris Adamyan, who was present at the autopsy, said they had been told the youth had died from a heart attack, but the autopsy showed many injuries. According to him, Kotinyan was beaten up by four soldiers. As a result of a strong hit at his chest, his heart stopped. Defense Ministry Investigation Department of Armenia launched a criminal case for violating rules of relations between soldiers and for harming the health imprudently causing death.
As the Defense Ministry informs the group, which committed the crime, has been revealed. Though there are no arrested or detained people.
