The 47th Munich Security Conference is getting under way in Germany today. Taking part are 12 Heads of State and Government, and also 36 Foreign Ministers. The Azerbaijani delegation is led by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
The parties to the forum are due to take up the way the world financial crisis has affected security, nuclear non-proliferation, and the situation in Afghanistan, Tunisia and Egypt. The four international mediators in a Mid-Eastern settlement, namely Russia, the US, the EU and the United Nations are due to meet on the fringes of the conference
