Some forces will try to implement pressure on Azerbaijan, member of the National Assembly of France, president of the Friends of Azerbaijan Association Jean-Francois Mancel told Secki-2015.az website.
He said that Azerbaijan would hold the fifth parliamentary elections after regaining its independence. It is a great chance for a young democracy. Each parliamentary election adds to election practice strengthening the pluralism. The same will be observed in these elections", Mr. Mancel stressed.
Expressing his hope that observers and commentators would be away from double standards, the member of the French National Assembly said that as in modern democracies, the executive power plays an important role in determination of the country`s political course.
"So, the parliament should be a place for discussions and settlement of significant issues, maintaining freedom in the background of tense international conditions, restoring the control over Nagorno-Karabakh and developing international relations," he added.
He also wished success to the election participants and the Azerbaijani people.
