Paraguay's parliament adopts resolution supporting sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan
The Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of the Republic of Paraguay has adopted a declaration respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan.
SIA reports that the declaration adopted at the plenary at the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress once again confirmed that Nagorno Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan, says that Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani territory, and as a result of military operations of the Armed Forces of Armenia, thousands of people were killed, captured and missed and displaced.
In its statement, Paraguay’s Chamber of Deputies expresses respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan, calls for the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions #822, #853, #874 and #884 and relevant documents of the UN General Assembly.
According to the document, by adopting this statement, the Chamber of Deputies shares the pain of victims of the conflict and stresses the importance of coexistence in peace and respect for human rights as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
