SIA reports according to a report of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that an Armenian subversive group attempted to cross the contact line in the territories of Tovuz region at 13:30 local time, according to a report of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
The enemy`s attempt was prevented due to the alertness of the Azerbaijani military units located on front line. Neutralization measures started as the group was allowed to close distance after they were revealed. Some four members of the sabotage and diversion group were killed while retreating and a 25-year-old member of the group, villager of Chinari of Armenia`s Berd region Karen Petrosyan, was arrested by Azerbaijani soldiers.
At present, investigation is underway regarding the group`s plan and activities.
