The activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, aimed at resolving the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict should be more active, and it primarily depends on each of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, SIA reported.
The statement came from Azerbaijani parliamentarian Asim Mollazade , commenting on the outcome of the recent meeting of the co-chairs with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to him, the meetings can be effective provided that the OSCE Minsk Group intensifies its activities towards the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions calling for immediate withdrawal of occupation forces from Azerbaijani territories.
"Azerbaijan has repeatedly advocated the peaceful solution of the Nagorno -Karabakh conflict and intends to continue to adhere to their positions. We do not abandon peaceful solution to the conflict and agreed to continue the search for solutions at the negotiating table.
But personally, I doubt that Armenia will make at least some reciprocal steps in the direction of the search for peace. Aggravation of the situation on the frontline shows that Armenia still adheres to the aggressive policy and stupidly shows disrespect to the international community. It looks like it still does not realize their despair.
Big trouble in Armenia as a failed state is that as an outpost it is not able to take some serious decisions. Global solutions are made by Armenia’s sponsors, respectively in such a situation Armenia is simply untenable to solve anything", the Azerbaijani MP said.
