On 4 October, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by Bogyay Katalin, the President of the General Conference of UNESCO.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov spoke about the current dynamic cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO and expressed satisfaction with this cooperation. The Minister also briefed the delegation about activities and successful projects initiated by First Lady and UNESCO Goodwill Ambasador Mehriban Aliyeva.
Minister also emphasized that the tolerance in Azerbaijan could set an example for other countries and said people of different religions live in peaceful co-existence with each other in the country.
In her turn, Bogyay Katalin spoke about Azerbaijan-UNESCO cooperation and noted she was pleased with this cooperation. She also pointed out that Azerbaijan is an active and distinguished member of the organisation.
