The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan considered the appeal of MP Gular Ahmadova about the goodwill rejection of the deputy mandate and met her request.
On 28 September, MP Ahmadova sent an appeal to Milli Majlis speaker Oqtay Asadov in which she rejected her deputy mandate.
In late September Ahmadova got involved in a scandal related to a video on Youtube with participation of the former rector of the Baku International University Elshad Abdullayev which became the subject of investigation by the Azerbaijan General Prosecutor's Office.
