Baku resented over passiveness of human rights organizations in poets' issue- Ali Hasanov

Official Baku is resented with the passiveness of some NGOs and human rights organizations in the issue of protection of young Azerbaijani poets Shahriyar Hajizade and Farid Huseyn arrested in İran.

According to chief of the department for public policy issues of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, he voiced his resentment over this fact at the meeting with representatives of civil organizations of the country and journalists.

'While the whole public of the country is concerned with the fate of our young poets, some NGOs and human rights organizations that contact different international and European structures demonstrate no activeness. We saw that these organizations raise a groundless stir around other cases, but the fact that they keep silent in this issue does not make them the honor.

The fact remains that the human rights activists and media were silent on this issue. However, now media are actively involved in protection of rights of our poets, but human rights organizations are still passive, which causes our concern', he said.
