Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev is to mediate a
meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders, the Armenian foreign
minister has confirmed.
Edward Nalbandian did not give a date or place for the meeting to discuss a peace settlement to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karababkh.
"Agreement on the trilateral meeting of the three presidents has been reached. The date and venue will be reported in due course when the sides consider it appropriate," Nalbandian told a news conference on Monday.
He said the trilateral format for the meetings had proved effective.
"I am sure that the meetings in this format will continue," he added.
