FM keeps the indication of occupied lands under Armenian names a focus of attention and coordinates with the relevant embassies of Azerbaijan abroad.
The statement has become from the first spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev, who commented on Google Earth maps, where the occupied lands of Azerbaijan are indicated under Armenian names.
"The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan has set the due instructions on this issue to its diplomatic offices", the representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Elman Abdullayev urged citizens of Azerbaijan, as well as mass media representatives to be more active in their appeals to Google, present recommendations and also make amendments and additions to Google Earth, which is open for users.
Google Earth indicates occupied Azerbaijani lands under Armenian names .
Earlier, the Ministry of Communication informed the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry about the mistake.
According to spokesman for the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, Mushvig Amirov, the issues of this kind are under instant attention of the ministry.
