The general plan of the zones of tourism and recreation defined by the State Committee for Land and Cartography will be developed after the adoption of the due resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
The statement came from Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Nazim Samadov at the conference "Tourism and Recreation: Problems and Prospects", held at the Baku professional school of tourism on Friday.
He said that the general plan will cover the zones of tourism and recreation primarily in the coastline area of Khizi, Salyan, Sabirabad and Khachmaz, as well as definite areas of the Guba and Gusar regions of the country.
He also noted that the aim of development of the tourism and recreation zones mainly in the northern regions of Azerbaijan is the implementation of purposeful complex measures for development of tourism industry.
