Dalai Lama shared his opinions about the South Caucasus Forum to be jointly organized by Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Madrid Club in Azerbaijan.
SIA reports citing the Press Service of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora that in his letter sent to the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Dalai Lama stated that it is impressive to study sensitive approach to human rights and their promotion in the works by Nizami Ganjavi, who lived in the 12th century, and it should be followed as an example:
"9 centuries ago thinker Nizami Ganjavi replied to the embarrassing cases of 21st century like human trafficking, global problem like violation of human rights. He released the woman, who had been sent for him as a slave girl and married her, his care for women are very important for the society. Thinkers like Nizami combining universal values play important role in understanding interrelation of the world’s current deep nature and establishment of effective international activity in the settlement of global problem."
To note, the meeting of Nizami Ganjavi International Center will be held with the support of Ganja City Executive Power and State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
