The statement came from acting OSCE Chairman, Minister of Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Audronius Azubalis.
'In this regard, I welcome the efforts of Russian President Dmitriy
Medvedev in Kazan, where presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan affirmed
that they will continue to seek peaceful regulation of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations,' the Lithuanian minister
said.
According to Azubalis, 'recent wave of incidents on the frontline (of
Armenian and Azerbaijani forces) shows the necessity of supporting the
intensified dialogue between the sides in order to act in accordance
with accepted obligations and conditions of the investigative mechanism,
which were agreed by the presidents in Sochi at the beginning of this
year'.
