"TAP and Nabucco West projects have a great commercial difference," BP Vice President for Shah Deniz field development Al Cook has today told journalists.
Stressing that more than 10 options have been considered while choosing a route over last four years, Cook said the decision was made on the basis of eight criteria.
He underlined that the Trans-Anatolian and Trans-Adriatic gas pipelines would create opportunities for rapid gas supply to participant countries. Work on the Interconnector which will ensure the gas supply to other European countries continues, he added.
Cook said some $40 billion would be invested in the Shah Deniz-2 project, adding it was a very important decision, which would pave the way for the development of other fields.
