France is one of the main forces behind Armenia's armament, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said, SİA informs.
“Armenia has been an occupying and aggressive state. The arming of Armenia should be within responsible parameters,” he added.
Hajiyev expressed regret that France is involved in this armament program, which contradicts its international obligations:
“Azerbaijan’s concern regarding the arming of Armenia is rooted in the fact that Armenia has been an occupying and aggressive state. International experience indicates that certain restrictions should be applied to the military construction and plans of such countries.”
