The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the "Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity, Import Customs Duties Rates, and Export Customs Duties Rates," which was approved by the decision dated November 17, 2017.
According to SİA, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a new decision regarding this matter.
Under the decision, the import of electric trucks that are powered solely by an electric motor and are no more than three years old from the factory release date will be exempt from customs duties until January 1, 2028 (the current customs duty rate is 5%).
This decision was made to encourage the use of environmentally friendly and safe transport vehicles and to improve legislation in this area.
