Adviser to Uzbek FM: Relations with Azerbaijan demonstrating steady growth in all areas

Uzbekistan aims to implement new joint projects with Azerbaijan, intensify business contacts, and further strengthen strategic partnership, said spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Akhror Burkhanov, who is also an advisor to the Uzbek foreign minister, commenting on the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Azerbaijan on July 2-4, SİA informs.

He noted that official Tashkent highly appreciates the dynamics of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations: "Today they demonstrate sustainable growth in all areas."

Speaking about international cooperation, the advisor to the minister especially noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to constructive interaction within such organizations as the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

"These multilateral structures serve as important platforms for promoting agreed initiatives, deepening integration processes and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties," Burkhanov noted.

He also commented on cooperation within the framework of the trilateral platform Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Uzbekistan.

"Uzbekistan attaches great importance to strengthening multifaceted cooperation with fraternal countries - Azerbaijan and Türkiye. The development of the trilateral format Uzbekistan - Azerbaijan - Türkiye opens up new opportunities for the implementation of joint infrastructure and logistics projects, expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as coordination of efforts in the field of energy, transport, and industrial cooperation. We consider this platform as an important tool for regional development and sustainable growth," added the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
