A document has been signed between the State Civil Aviation Agency of Azerbaijan under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), SİA informs, citing the ministry.
The mentioned document provides for cooperation in various areas of civil aviation, including the development of air connections, civil aviation infrastructure, sustainable aviation, flight safety, and aviation security.
It was signed during a meeting between Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Elmin Mammadov and a delegation led by Jun Han, Deputy Director General of CAAC.
During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the two countries were discussed. The importance of developing air connections between the parties, joint participation in inspections carried out within the framework of control measures for the purpose of exchanging experience, organizing trainings, and cooperation in the development of civil aviation infrastructure was emphasized.
This is the first meeting between state agencies after President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed the "Joint Statement on Establishing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Relations" on April 23, 2025.
