A military ordnance explosion has occurred in Khojavand, leaving one person injured.
According to a joint statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), the incident took place on March 5 in the village of Sos, Khojavand district.
As a result of the explosion of a hand grenade's detonation mechanism, Ali Alakbar oglu Sadighov, a resident of Aybasanli village in Fuzuli district, born in 2002, sustained injuries to his left hand.
The Khojavand District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office, have once again urged citizens to strictly adhere to safety protocols. They strongly advise against touching or interfering with suspicious objects and recommend paying close attention to mine warning signs, and avoiding unfamiliar areas to prevent further tragedies.
