MEDIA and Euronews launch training program for journalists

As part of the cooperation between the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDIA) and Euronews, the international training program Euronews Academy has been launched in Baku, SİA informs via MEDIA.

At the opening ceremony, Euronews Executive Director in Baku, Fernando Soares, noted that the project is aimed at enhancing the professional skills of young journalists. He added that the program will contribute to the production of high-quality and objective news.

MEDIA deputy chief Natig Mammadli emphasized that the initiative will help develop the local information environment and provide journalists with international experience.

Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University, Vugar Zifaroglu, added that participation in such programs allows students to combine theory with practical experience.

On the first day of the training, Euronews multimedia journalist Tuba Altunkaya told participants about the principles of collecting news, working with data in the digital environment, and fact-checking in journalism.

The training includes interactive lectures, practical exercises, group discussions, and analysis of texts and video materials.

The training sessions will continue until June 27.
