Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the visit of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Astana significant.
Report informs, citing Akorda, Tokayev made this statement during talks with Bayramov in the presidential administration.
"Your visit is of great importance in terms of further promoting our cooperation with fraternal Azerbaijan. Relations with Azerbaijan are very important for us. We consider Azerbaijan a reliable strategic partner and ally," Tokayev emphasized.
During the meeting, issues of implementing major strategic projects were discussed, including laying a fiber-optic communication line and a deep-sea electric cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
