An article called "Azerbaijan. Islamic Solidarity Games. The power of multiculturalism" was published in the Italian portal Notizie Geopolitiche. In reference to the statements of the political analytic of the "Friends of Azerbaijan in Central- Southern İtaly"association Fortunato Materozzo Azerbaijan is considered to be a positive example in contribution to the dialogues both between Muslim countries and in Muslim-West countries`relations, providing a peaceful living for representatives of various religion and cultures. The article says that carrying of the water within "water travel" from the Caspian Sea during the Islamic Solidarity Games symbolically means the unity of Azerbaijani nation and solidarity of Muslim world. The article also highlights Azerbaijan`s successful poverty reduction programme and an effective solution to the issue in the frame of "United Nations Millennium Development Goals". Azerbaijan`s secular state system is one of the issues spoken about in the article. The author emphasizes that Azerbaijan is a country with majority of muslims, various ethnic and religios minorities living together peacefully with equal rights. Drawing attention to the existence of 5 mosques, 1 catholic and protestant churches in Baku the author highlights Azerbaijan as an example country to the world with religios tolerance.
