Táborský on Baku 2015 boxing spot
Daniel Táborský is closing in on a Baku 2015 boxing spot after beating Czech champion Pavel Šour.

The 22-year-old Táborský defeated the 33-year-old Šour by a score of 3-0 in the 91kg weight class in a fight in the city of Jičín. The Prague native Táborský went right after the Pilsen native Šour in the first round to set the groundwork for a 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 victory.

"Pavel is a great fighter. He did not give me anything for free and he never gave up," Táborský told the Czechfighters.cz wbesite.

Czech boxing national team coach Mr. Vasil Larionov was on hand for the fight.

"Mentally, it was a severely tough duel for both boxers. And I think it had a European level to it," Mr. Larionov said.

The coach is still unsure whom he will send to Baku 2015. "Daniel is the front runner right now. The European Games are nearly three months away. Now I determine Daniel as the leader, but Pavel has not lost his motivation," Mr. Larionov said.
