“Yeni Azerbaijan” party has big chances to win the elections Russian political analyst says
The parliamentary elections to be held on November 1 in Azerbaijan will be recognized by Western politicians, Russian president’s Personal Envoy, member of the Civic Chamber, political analyst Sergei Markov has made remarks.
The refusal of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to observe the elections will not affect their results, because the voters are not much interested in the position of this structure.
S. Markov believes that the "Yeni Azerbaijan" party has big chances to win the elections, because the majority of people support it due to the great results it has demonstrated in terms of living standards, political stability in the country.
If compare with Georgia and Armenia, we can see that living standards in Azerbaijan are much higher than in those countries, S. Markov said.
He also noted that Azerbaijan should cooperate with such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Turkey to resist the western coalition.
With regard to the Azerbaijani-Russian relations, S. Markov does not expect any political changes after the parliamentary elections.
I believe the cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan are peacefully developing, and this trend will continue, he added.
