The European Union will assist Tunis in overcoming of financial difficulties which have arisen after revolution. For the period in two years it is planned to allocate almost 260 million euro.
As chapter of diplomacy of European Union Ketrin Eshton has informed, 17 million euro for needs of democracy in Tunis will be allocated in the shortest terms.
The Eurocommission Press-service also has declared that Eshton has personally suggested the European investment bank to allocate for this country the preferential demand line of credit at a rate of 1 mlrd euro.
After "jasmine revolution" additional means are necessary for economy restoration for Tunis, the huge damage in particular is caused to small and average business, the transport infrastructure has strongly suffered.

As considers Nadzhib Shebbi, the minister of regional development of Tunis, soft loans for the sum from 3,7 to 7,4 mlrd euro will be necessary for economy.
