Internet Forum of Azerbaijan reports that ceremony of official awarding the prize winners will be conducted on 4 December. This year the number of nominations of the competition has increased to 14 positions, but, as well as last year, the sites, having Azerbaijani version, are allowed to take part in the contest.
Earlier Azerbaijani Internet Forum’s head Osman Gunduz said this year up to 800 contenders would take part in the contest taking into account intensive rates of growth of the national Internet resources at the market. Last year 583 sites were allowed to the competition, about 250 sites were refused to participate over various reasons, in particular, 30% of them were refused in connection with lack of the Azerbaijan version. The process of registration of resources of people wishing to take part in the competition started on 1 October.
The award is sponsored by Delta Telecom, Azercell Telecom and HP.
There appeared three new nominations this year: "Mobile resource"; "Electronic service"; "Site constructed on the basis of user’s content" on the basis of technology web2.
The second stage of voting conducted among the 74 nominees in 14 categories is underway.
