Exchange of Letters of Congratulation between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Italy on the occasion of 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Elmar Mammadyarov noted the importance of the collaboration between two countries in political, economical, cultural, educational fields during the last 25 years. Reminding his official visit to Italy in 2017 expressed his certainty that visits like these will help to develop cooperation relations between two countries in the frame of bilateral and international structures , the deepening of the cooperation and taking it into a higher level. Elmar Mammadyarov is hopeful that successful cooperation projects especially the "TAP" project will serve to strengthen friendship between two countries and nations. Considering Italy`s membership to the OSCE Troika, the minister expressed his hopefulness that Italy will make efforts to find a just solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict according to the norms and principles of the international law, based on the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on the conflict, within the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internationally organized borders of Azerbaijan. The Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Italy Angelino Alfano has highlighted Azerbaijan and Italy`s successful economic cooperation and presented Italy as Azerbaijan`s main trade partner. In reference to his statement Italy is ready to work together in deepening trade relations between two countries and in search of new opportunities for both country`s companies and civil societies. Angelo said that Italy will continue to strongly support intensity of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union. The foreign minister highlighted that Italy always has a positive view on start of work on treaty agreements between Azerbaijan and the European Union. He expressed his certainty that it will help to establish favourable framework for stimulating dialogues on issues of mutual interest and strenghtening two countries` relations in all fields.
