On December 2, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (US), Pierre Andre (France) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk on the sideline of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade.
SIA was told by the press service of the Foreign Ministry that, the sides discussed the current status of the negotiation process being conducted with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, working program of the Minsk Group for the upcoming period, and issues on arrangement of the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents, the foreign ministry.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressed the importance of MG co-chairs’ increasing their efforts to achieve a solution to the conflict within the internationally recognized borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in accordance with the relevant four UN Security Council resolutions.
"The withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories must be ensured for the settlement of the conflict." added Elmar Mammadyarov.
