Russia sees parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as a normal democratic process in sovereign and independent country, Alexander Perendzhiev, SIA reports that a professor of political science and sociology at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics told commenting on parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan to be held on Nov 1.
Accoridng to nPerendziev, official Moscow would respect any choice of Azerbaijani people.
The main thing is the election of the parliament to be held in line with Azerbaijan’s legislation, he said.
He also believes that the pressure of the West towards Azerbaijan in the threshold of the parliamentary elections comes from its discontent with Baku’s rapprochement with Moscow.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be held on November 1.
