President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State Victoria Nuland, SIA informs.
The sides expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in a variety of fields, and hailed Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation.
As well a number of issues discussed related to energy, security, fight against terrorism, prospects of cooperation on Afghanistan, human rights, democratic institutions and conducting dialogue on this front.
The parties also exchanged views over the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, elimination of tension in the region, continuation of negotiations, and the ensuring of peace and stability.
