"Legal status of Caspian Sea and releasing of occupied Azerbaijani territories are completely diffrent issues. All these groundless statements are only propaganda of Armenian side" Political scientist Elchin Mirzebeyli told SIA.
According to Mirzebeyli, legal status of the Caspian Sea has been agreed according to a mutual agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia. There is no any problem on this issue between two countries. Russia’s claim about this issue is only keeping the Caspian military contingent and except 5 Caspian states to prevent entering of any other country to the area of the Caspian sea. Russia does not want any other country’s military intervention in the Caspian sea.
"It has got significant agreements on the issues of the Caspian Sea at the Astrakhan Summit of Caspian States. Therefore it makes to be concerned Armenian and Russian politicians and political scientists who support Armenia." stressed Elchin Mirzebeyli.
