The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia has confirmed the strategic nature of relations between the two countries.
This was stated by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on 6 December during a visit to the Ministry of Nature Protection, according to the press service of the Armenian leader, SIA reports.
According to him, after bilateral talks, a number of agreements were signed, which have great potential in economic and defence spheres.
"There are a number of agreements and expanding economic opportunities, particularly in the fields of energy, industry, jewellery, diamond production, chemical industry, etc. In the field of agriculture there are also great opportunities," said the head of Armenian Republic.
Sargsyan pointed out that exports to Russia increased by 25%, which is a very large figure. "One thing we need to clearly understand is that Russians will not work for us. We should be able to realize these opportunities to work in a more organized way and get results. If we fail, we can be helped and supported, but no one will work for us. This must be clearly understood," he stressed.
