The 33rd meeting of the working group on the legal status of the Caspian Sea at the level of deputy ministers has kicked off in Baku. SIA reports that the meeting is closed to the media. The draft Convention on the status of the Caspian Sea will be discussed at the meeting.
Azerbaijan is represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Russia by Special Presidential Representative for the delimitation and demarcation Igor Bratchikov, Kazakhstan by Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybay, Iran by Mohammad Mehdi Akhoundzadeh and Turkmenistan by Murad Atadjanov.
