Azerbaijan as a member of the United Nations Security Council attentively watches the ongoing processes in the Near East, Elman Abdullayev, spokesman of the Azerbaijan foreign ministry said.
SIA reports citing AzerTAc that the foreign minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov during his visit to the Near East is expected to meet with the Palestinian leaders. Azerbaijan always supports the people of Palestine, he noted.
"Therefore, Azerbaijan is for quick settlement of the Near East conflict", he stressed.
During the visit, Mammadyarov will discuss a number of questions related to conflicts settlement.
