US State Department reported on Akram Aylisli’s issue.
In the traditional briefing the U.S. State Department's spokesperson Victoria Nuland noted that they are closely following Akram Aylisli’s issue, particularly head of the Modern Musavat Party Hafiz Hajiyev’s threatening the writer.
V. Nuland also noted that they are aware of Hafiz Hajiyev’s summoning to police department: "This is a right measure. We believe in freedom of speech and express our support to it".
The U.S. State Department's spokesperson called Azerbaijani government to protect security of the writer.
