Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation headed by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Oscar Martin Arce.
1news.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Foreign Minister welcomed the guests and expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
Oscar Paniagua noted his country's interest in the expansion of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and the presence of broad potential for this. The Mexican guest praised the opening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico and noted importance of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico.
While underlining the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening the ties of friendship, Mammadyarov thanked the Mexican side for the resolution adopted by the Senate of Mexico in recognition of the Khojaly genocide.
Given the arrangement of Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Mexico, the sides expressed a wish to carry out similar activities in Azerbaijan. The meeting also discussed the development of multilateral cooperation, including in energy, education and tourism fields.
