The employees of Azerbaijani diplomatic service bodies mark their professional holiday today.
SIA reports that leadership and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Alley of Honor. The delegation led by Azerbaijani deputy foreign ministers Khalaf Khalafov and Nadir Huseynov laid a wreath at Heydar Aliyev’s grave and paid tribute to him.
The holiday was established at the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s decree dated 24 August 2007. Temporary instructions on secretariat of the Foreign Ministry were adopted on 9 July 1919 in the ruling period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), being the first in the Muslim east.
