The world community should recognize the real genocide – Khojaly events.
Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova told the statement to journalist.
She noted that every year, they appeal to international organizations and send them relevant materials.
"But unfortunately, the world community doesn’t properly assess this genocide."
Touching upon the adoption by the French Senate of the bill
criminalizing the denial of genocides including so-called Armenian
genocide, Suleymanova assessed it as unfair and groundless decision.
"No one expected the adoption of this bill at the end because this is
not the job of the Parliament. We protest against this decision in our
declarations."
