The Azerbaijan-Swiss business forum organized by the Azerbaijan Export and
Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo) with the support of the Ministry of
Economic Development (MED) of Azerbaijan was held in Baku on 27
October.
Beside officials of two countries, the event was attended by
over 100 businessmen representing sectors such as finance, industry, trade,
property, health, education, etc.
Opening the business forum, Deputy
Economic Development Minister Niyazi Safarov provided detailed information on
the economy, the ongoing reforms and achievements.
According to him,
Azerbaijan's economy is growing and favorable investment and business climate
are being created.
Azpromo president Adil Mammadov spoke on the
investment and business opportunities in Azerbaijan and the executive director
of the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) Afgan Isayev spoke of the activity of
the structure and its projects.
During the event, the representatives of
the two countries discussed cooperation prospects.
