Baku has hosted today an extended session of the Caspian European ICT Club (one of the divisions of the Caspian-European Business Integration Club; CEIBC) to cover issues of information security in the process of introduction of e-government services.
Elmir Velizadeh, deputy minister of communications of Azerbaijan, told that the level of internet users in Azerbaijan has increased up to 45%.
"Currently approximately 12% of all users enjoy broadband Internet services. Compared with last year, capacity of Internet channels has more than doubled - from 15 GB up to 40 GB per second," Velizadeh said.
