"Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United Arabic Emirates increased by 57,3% in the first nine months of this year, compared with the same period of last year", Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said during a joint business forum held in Baku on Wednesday.
The Minister also said that more than 120 companies with UAE investment are currently operating in Azerbaijan. UAE`s investments in Azerbaijan make $ 263 mln, investments in mai capital stood at $ 105 mln. At the same time, Abu-Dhabi Fund for Development allocated 42 mln Euros to the construction of South Power Station.
Up to date, over 20 documents have been signed between the two countries.
Speaking about the importance of activity of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between the two countries, it was stated that, the next meeting of bilateral intergovernmental commission on cooperation would be held in UAE in December.
