The International Startup Competition IE Venture Day will be organized in Baku jointly by High Technologies Park, and IE Business School with the support of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT).
The event to be held on December 3 will feature a "pitch-off" competition that brings together local and international start-up community.
Note that after participating in the IE Business School Venture Day, a Spanish start-up tyba.com raised over €1 million and became one of Europe’s top recruitment platforms.
In total, over the past four years, IE Venture Day start-ups that pitched their business raised over €12million investments. Participants taking part in the competition to be held in Baku will have a chance to present their business ideas before some most influential investors and venture capitalists, almost without "leaving their home."
The IE Venture Day, held in 35 cities around the globe, will take place in the Caucasus - in Baku for the first time on December 3. Participating start-ups will present their business ideas before a jury comprising of industry experts, venture capitalists and investors.
Ten selected finalists will be invited (travel expenses covered) to pitch at the Venture Day Baku to compete for the prizes. Those include: Participation as one of the 10 finalists in the Venture Day Madrid with travel expenses covered for 1 team member; 100% scholarship for the Executive Education course at IE Business School; 3 months incubation with free office space at the partners co-working spaces; Mentoring from IE Venture Lab.
