On February 6, inaugural TOP-16 table tennis tournament will be held in Baku, SIA informs with referring Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation.
Representative of the European Table Tennis Union Roman Plese is visiting Azerbaijan on the occasion. The tournament will involve 34 athletes from 17 European countries. Mr Plese hailed the "fundamental changes" in the activity of the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation
Note that the tournament was founded in 1971, the tournament was previously called TOP-12, and was recently renamed TOP-16.
